American Independence Day 2026
To mark the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence, the BTH community enjoyed a fantastic USA-themed celebration!
Staff and pupils wore red, white and blue, tucked into an American-themed lunch and listened to a playlist of favourite American songs. Throughout the week, classes took part in a fun quiz, testing their knowledge of American history, facts and current affairs, with a USA-themed prize up for grabs.
One class fully immersed themselves in the celebrations, completing a range of US history and geography activities. Pupils labelled maps of the USA, coloured the flags of each state, created a spectacular 4th of July fireworks art display and achieved a perfect score in the quiz. Well done Du!
A huge thank you to everyone involved for bringing the whole school together to celebrate this historic milestone.
