Diwrnod Su’mae Celebration – 15th October
This week, we celebrated the Welsh language and culture for Diwrnod Shwmae/Su’Mae! Pupils greeted peers and staff in Welsh, explored quizzes and wordsearches on Welsh history, and enjoying a delicious Tastes of Wales lunch featuring traditional dishes such as Cawl, Glamorgan Bake, and Laverbread.
Our canteen was beautifully decorated with Welsh food names, while corridors came alive with colourful displays of useful Welsh words linked to school and the curriculum. Flags and Welsh bucket hats could be seen everywhere, adding to the festive atmosphere. Pupils who showed outstanding effort and enthusiasm were recognised and rewarded during Friday’s assembly.
Da iawn pawb! – Well done everyone for celebrating the Welsh spirit with such pride and energy!
