Airbus Visit
This term, we have been incredibly fortunate to work closely with Airbus, providing our students with a valuable insight into the world of aerospace engineering and the exciting career opportunities available within the industry.
To begin, Airbus representatives visited our school to deliver an inspiring talk to all students. They shared information about the innovative work carried out at Airbus, the aircraft they help to build, and the wide range of career pathways available for young people interested in engineering, manufacturing, technology, and business.
As part of this partnership, we were also invited to visit the Airbus A350 factory, where wings for some of the world’s largest aircraft are manufactured. Students had the opportunity to walk the length of the factory, which is larger than Wembley Stadium, and follow the entire production process from start to finish. The visit also included a careers presentation, giving pupils further insight into future opportunities with Airbus and the skills needed to succeed in the industry.
One of the highlights of the day was watching the famous Beluga aircraft land, an unforgettable experience for both students and staff alike.
