Phoenix Project course at Chirk Fire Station
We were fortunate to take part in a two-day Phoenix Project course at Chirk Fire Station. Throughout the experience, pupils consistently demonstrated many of the key qualities needed to be a firefighter, including teamwork, initiative, confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills. They listened carefully to instructions and worked together to complete each challenge safely, confidently, and effectively.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed every activity, from connecting hoses and aiming powerful jets of water to raising ladders and climbing the training tower. They also learned valuable search-and-rescue techniques and tackled a range of exciting team challenges. To top it all off, the experience ended with an unforgettable ride around the village in a fire engine!
