A letter about my ski trip April 2022

Dear Paddy and Tom,

I just wanted to write to you about my ski trip and how it is going.
When I got to school we had some food, then we got in the car and drove to Manchester airport. When we got to the airport, we went through security and got some food while we waited for the flight, we also went to the duty free and sprayed the most expensive aftershave I could find all over me!

We got on the plane and flew to beautiful Geneva, Switzerland and were picked up and taken to the chalet in Chamonix, France. I was EXTREMLY exited to be skiing and spending time with my friends.
The weather was absolutely amazing! On the first day and there was a thick blanket of snow across the mountains and there was a cold breeze flowing through the air.

The next day, as soon as I woke up, we had some breakfast, showered and got kit on ready for the day ahead. We then went into the town and got our boots and skies from the shop and drove to the bottom of Mont Blanc which stands at a massive 4,807 meters high!
The view from the gondola was outstanding, it truly was the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life. We all got off the gondola and started to learn how to ski, it honestly was the best experience of my life! It was hard at first but I quickly got the hang of it. We met the ski instructor called Max, he was brilliant at teaching us. After we learned the basics, we got on the ski lift and got on the green run to get the hang of it. We quickly where able to go on the blue run and I fell over a few times and my legs where killing me but I pushed through and we stopped for lunch at the park.

We got home and got ready for the evening. We went into Chamonix town and got some massive burgers in a place called Poco Loco. The food was so nice, I am so grateful to have this experience of skiing and staying in France.
I bought some souvenirs for me and my family, it was so lively all through the town. We set off back to the chalet and got back into our ski clothes and did some night time skiing on a slope behind the house.
I was so ready for bed, I got ready and fell asleep almost straight away! The next say it was foggy, but still equally as fun, visibility was low but none the less, it was a once in a lifetime experience. After a long day of skiing, we went back to the chalet to get ready for the plane home.

I didn’t want to leave to be honest, can’t wait for the next ski trip it’s going to be so fun! Thank you so much paddy and tom for organising this whole trip, I had the time of my life.
One word for this, AMAZING!
Eli
