Lower school and nurture deliver a curriculum that has been designed to reflect the holistic needs of all pupils.
In Lower School, pupils build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that prepare them for success in Key Stage four and their choice of qualification pathways. They develop fluency and confidence in reading, alongside strong comprehension skills, supported by programs such as Accelerated Reader and Bedrock. These tools help foster a love of learning while ensuring that every child makes excellent progress.
In lower school, building knowledge and confidence through their key stage journey is key towards individual progress and happiness.
Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and engage pupils by connecting learning to their interests and everyday life. Through a multi-sensory approach, lessons are active, interactive, and fun, ensuring that children not only learn but enjoy the process of discovery.
With growth mindset at heart, we take pride in learning and celebrate achievements together in weekly whole-school assemblies.
