Charter

One World has developed a charter based competency program to help our pupils to be more aware of their surroundings and allow them to be ready for whatever the future holds.

Enrichment

One World has spent the last 10 years developing an educational enrichment program that helps prepare our pupils for the unprecedented challenges and opportunities they are likely to face. 

Curriculum

The One World curriculum is designed to ensure that pupils are future ready and to enable teachers and parents to meet the challenges faced in our 21st century world.

We will be raising awareness of our responsibilities to sustainability and will be holding a One World Day every half term. The timetable will be suspended, and pupils will be asked to join in the learning and experiencing biodiversity, climate action, enterprise projects and rights and responsibilities. We aim to celebrate biodiversity and pledge to support to reverse the decline of by 2030. This will also be linked with Investors in Families core aims.

The one world website is the school’s link to a wide range of global projects. It connects us with a wide range of schools both nationally and internationally. The aim of the website it to share and discuss a wide range of global issues and support young people to have a voice.

Climate change is a significant global issue. As a school we have a keen desire to provide our pupils with the knowledge and skills to be able to take action to prevent climate change. 

“There is a clear focus on pupils’ destinations and career aspirations. For example, pupils in key stage 3 participate in a beneficial variety of taster sessions and engagement projects. Older pupils participate in valuable work experience opportunities, including catering and hospitality and computer maintenance.”
